Back to Louetta Week 1

What's up mom?

Yeah, I know that Sister ponce did that, and I'll try to be less of a hog. (She sent me a video of him and his companions, I mentioned he liked to be in front of the camera!) Her family is really cool.

It has been fun going back to Louetta, although I think I might only be here for just one transfer, I am still looking forward to being here again. I am in the same Ward, but the area is just a little bit different. I get a little bit of my old area, and then the sister's old area. The trio is really fun, my companion's names are Elder Vargas and Elder Thorne. So Elder Vargas is from Provo, Utah and has been out 14 months. He is a really cool guy and I'm really lucky to have him as a companion. His dad is puertoriqueño (Puerto Rican), so that's pretty cool. Elder Thorne is from South Jordan, Utah and has been out 18 months on his mission. He lost his right eye, so he has a pretty cool prosthetic eye.

Our address is 12331 N. Gessner Dr. # 814 Houston, TX 77046, and I would just say to send packages to the mission office, it is close enough that it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to have it there.

This week was pretty fun, it is actually pretty hard to whitewash (have all missionaries be new to an area) an area, even though I've already been here. I don't remember where some of the members live, and we didn't have a Ward list, so it was kinda hard to find out were everyone is and where they lived. It took about three or four days for the system to update and put us in the Louetta Ward, so that is why we had no Ward list.

I think one of the funnest things to do was to see members and be like, "I'm here again, surprise!" It's fun to just reunite with them. I am getting better with being humble, something that I've learned is to not judge anyone
without knowing who they are and actually meeting them. The funny thing is whenever you ask, I can never think of anything that I need. Maybe I should just write it down when I think of it. I love you all so very much, and I miss y'all a bunch!

The Woodlands Week 6

Hello mother!

Last week sounded pretty interesting for y'all, maybe we'll swing by to Janna and Spencer's after I regresar (return). It would be fun to see them, and I can't believe that Aubrey is 8.5, she shouldn't be that old, I just  remember her as a young little feller. I never did get the postcard, but I did get the letters from Lilly and Lathen,  it was so cute.

It got pretty hot this week, but for the most part it was bearable, definitely happy that I have a car right now! Well, I have some sad news, I am leaving the Woodlands area, don't have any idea were I am gonna go, but I'm out and I get an address change, pending till next week. It is really sad, because I feel like I just actually started to get to know the people here, and now I'm leaving them.

This week we finally got in with some of the potential investigators we had, which is always fun, good to meet everyone and what not.

Oh I have a kinda weird story, we were teaching this guy that might have had a crush on me... It was really awkward, because we had a lesson earlier in the week were he grabbed my hand and looked at my ring, and then talked about how he likes red hair, and then on Saturday he touched my leg. OK, other than him, the week was pretty normal.

A sad thing is that I got to know the people in the Ward a little better, and so it's sad that I have to leave them. There is is this one kid who would drive us a round, and he reminded me a lot of myself as a yungen. On Sunday we had the temple tours, which were fun, we took a recent convert, and he seemed to enjoy it. I also got to see quite a bit of people from the olden days (Waller times) which is always fun.

I love you so much mom! It is always fun to hear how everyone is doing in the family.

The Woodlands Week 5

What's up mommy!?

Yes I went to Waller for a baptism! You must be psychic or something. (A member had sent me some pictures) It was really fun to go back and see everyone, and to watch Tim get baptized. I miss all of the people there, but I feel like that will be with every area. But as always, fun to go back and see everyone.

Other than that, this week has been pretty much the same as the other weeks. One thing that was cool, I met a less active from Argentina, and, especially lately, I want to learn more of the culture from Argentina, and the food and everything, won't dad be proud? Something else that I did that was really fun was make papusas, they are food from El Salvador, and are really yummy. I'll send you a video of me making them.

Also we went to one of our investigators church because we made a deal that if he came to ours we'd go to his. It was interesting, with the band and the music and everything. It was just a completely different experience from what I was used to. This little experience has helped me see the importance of explaining our church, and what goes on in the three hours we have there, just so people have an idea of what to expect.

The heat has been blistering, it gets really hot, been about 105-110 according to our cars thermometer. But the worst is when you just get in the car and the hot air is still being blown out, it's like a sauna.

As always it is really fun to hear about everyone's week. Glad to know things haven't changed too much since I've left.  Your postcard will probably be here today, I haven't gotten it yet, but I believe today it will arrive.

I love y'all and all the support y'all give me! You da beest!
